As owner of READ WRITE LEARN, I believe that reading and writing are keys that open doors and save lives. My education includes a B.A. in Creative Writing and an M.A. in Literature. I have also been trained in Linguistic Remedies®, Wired for Reading®, and Lindamood-Bell® programs on multi-sensory phonemic awareness, fluency, and reading comprehension, as well as the Wilson Reading System, the Slingerland approach, and Handwriting Without Tears.
I regularly attend workshops and conferences to stay current with recent research and teaching methodologies in the field of literacy and learning disabilities. In addition, I am a preferred provider on the International Dyslexia Association (IDA) website as well as the Washington Branch (WABIDA) website.
As a skilled educator, I draw from decades of experience in schools and private practice with students of all ages from struggling readers and writers to those looking to be challenged. READ WRITE LEARN offers one-on-one instruction designed to help each student strengthen literacy skills, enjoy learning, and achieve his or her potential.
